2015 - ...

For the real houses of memory, the houses to which we return in dreams, the houses that are rich in unalterable oneirism, do not readily lend themselves to description. (G. Bachelard, The Poetics of Space, 1999:13)

Industrial Romance is a sentimental piece about daydreaming and wistfulness for the vistas seen from my childhood home at the bedroom community of Lasnamäe. The industrial but nostalgic setting has provided me with a mental asylum for years and has offered me great inspiration during my photography practises. This piece is a photo series depicting window panoramas looking upon the Iru power plant. Photos were taken during a course of 3 years from the 11th floor of an 18 storey house. The series is continually expanding.
